He touched the Butt!!!

« on: June 16, 2004, 06:03:04 PM »

I work at a day care during the school year and I meet some amazing kids with awesome personalities. There is this one little girl named Abby,
she is one of the smallest kids of the kindergarten bunch and yet she's the one that makes her presence known. If you walk in the room no matter
where you are she screams your name and gives you a big hug. One of the unique things I learned about Abby is she loves to talk about God.
Sometimes Abby would sit down next to me and tell me Jesus loves me and He is my savior. When she would swing on the swings during our  playtime
she would sing Christian songs she was learnign in school, the other kids around her would then join in with her. Abby is the type of leader I
wish I could be. She leads with her faith and other kids follow her. Though she is small she is a wonderful witness to those around her.
The most special thing Abby ever said to me was outside one day. I was sitting on the bench and she sat down next to me, there were sirens going
off and cop cars and fire trucks rolled past the school. Abby looked up at me and said "My mommy tells me that when i hear sirens I should say a prayer."
She then continued to say "Jesus be with them so no one gets her, Amen." To me this was powerful, God hears every prayer and Abby said a prayer just out
of her love and kindness for other people. She may not realize it now but she touched me and has helped me to become a better witness. It's those little
things we say or do that express our faith. Abby's prayer may not have been long but it was heartfelt and sincere.

In Romans 10:9-10 it says "That if you confess with your mouth , 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

It is my prayer that I can be like Abby and Confess with my heart that "Jesus is Lord" and that through my actions I can share with others my Love and
appreciation for Christ my Risen Lord.

OK everyone now i need opinions, this is goign to be used on a travel team so I want it to be good....let me knwo what you think, give tons of suggestions!!! thanks this is greatly appreciated!  Smiley

That is really good.  There was one word that I noticed that did not seem to fit the sentence that it was it.  that would be in this sentence "Jesus be with them so no one gets her, Amen." and the word would be her, I was reading through it and am guessing that it is supposed to be hurt.  But other then that one thing I thought it was really good.  Hope that travel team is awesome.  That is really an amazing personal witness.  It is really cool to see how a little girl can be such a leader for Christ and how someone so little can effect how we act or what we do.

I know what you mean about it being hard to write a personnal witness.  My first one I had a really hard time writing but once I came up with something to write it on it basically jusyt wrote itself.  The second one that I wrote was a little bit harder because it was about something that not many people know about and I also was not sure how to talk about it or even word it.

Glad taht I could help with it.  Even though I really did not say much to help with it.
