The Funnies

Separated at birth?

These are a bunch of comics I did in college & seminary.

tHE fREAK tHE fREAK

A collection of comics starring a guy who doesn't fit in the "real" world and doesn't seem to mind. He is a student working his way through the Seminary and may or may not reflect my own perceptions of the world.

These comics were featured in The Spectrum, the student Newspaper at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO during the 1990-91 season. Some didn't pass the sensors, but here they are: live & uncut!

Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.... Romans 12:2

Generation X

Many of the events in the Bible are just plain weird! Take a look at how our world might see some of them today.

Some of these comics appeared in The Spectrum, the student Newspaper at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO during the 1991-92 season. Some are new. Some didn't pass the censors….

The X uses the "Chi Rho" symbol, which incorporates Chi (X) and Rho (P), the first two letters in CRISTOS, the Greek word Christ. I used a shepherd's crook for the Rho because Jesus is our Good Shepherd, and nails for the Chi because He showed what a great Shepherd He is by laying down His life for us, His sheep, on the cross.
